Mesut Ozil & Sami Khedira made into freaky animal people

Warning: These images will fuel your nightmares for the entirety of the World Cup and probably require several hours of therapy to clear from your mind.

To celebrate the first World Cup on African soil in the most bizarre and terrifying way possible, German tabloid Bild decided they had way too much time and way too many resources on their hands, so they spent weeks in order to transform members of the German team into freaky animal people. Pictured above is the Mesut Ozil's transformation from a talented young attacking midfielder into an Island of Dr. Moreau type abomination of a lion with a zebra arm and '80s hair.

Ah! Why did they even have to go so far as to put Sami Khedira in that final pose? I feel like he's going to jump off my computer screen, bite me in the aorta, then hatch his eggs inside me. Why couldn't they just dress them up in Lion King Halloween costumes and be done with it?
